Announcing the Winners of Artela Aspect Buildathon

A Milestone Achievement: 100 Registrations & 36 Innovative Aspect BUIDLs by the Artela Developer Community! Developers leveraged Aspect Programming to build many groundbreaking on-chain extensions use cases in just 10 days! Opening up a new imagination of the EVM+ world!

The quality and diversity of the Aspect projects were impressive. Notably, 16 submissions stood out from the rest, showcasing their inventive solutions during the buildathon's demo day.

🏆 Winner:

KYT Aspect

Description: The KYT(Know Your Transaction) Aspect offers on-chain real-time transaction security analysis capabilities for dApps, including detecting flash loan attacks, arbitrage, and money laundering. By integrating this Aspect, a dApp can tailor its security risk control strategy to enhance protection.

This BUIDL seamlessly integrates a Fintech-level security middleware into the Artela network. The PoC clearly demonstrates the feasibility of implementing cutting-edge security features through Aspect and highlights the effectiveness of the EVM+ paradigm in addressing security concerns within the DeFi world.

🥈 Runner-Up:

Pacman with AI-agent Aspect

Description: Utilize Aspect as an on-chain coprocessor to realize a fully on-chain "Pac-Man". It implements an AI agent enabling automatic battles between players and ghosts on the blockchain. It ports the Ai-agent battle module that was originally implemented in the Off-chian Java system to Aspect for implementation, and the playability is still very high.

This BUIDL shows us that Aspect can function as an on-chain co-processor within the blockchain. With Aspect Programming, on-chain AI-agents and Asynchronous PvP Games can be achieved and unleash greater creativity never been possible before.

Throttle Aspect for Artela

Description: Throttle Aspect is an on-chain middleware that enables contracts to limit the frequency of invocation. dApp can use it to limit the per-address claim frequency for airdrop or protect from DDoS.

This conceptual Aspect shows that native extensions can introduce web2-level trading systems’ rate limiting or trading curb technology (widely used in trading systems) as an on-chain module for smart contracts. In the case of a fair launch, it can help fight against Sybil and scientists to make decentralized protocols fairer.
